What do I do with Substack ?
Goodmorning everybody,
Since my only laptop went to coma, I am writing this post with cellphone. I don't find it easy. I generally I use it roughly go into social media and get updated on current affairs. I prefer physical copies of books and long texts to digital. For writing, I prefer laptop to cellphone. Therefore, this post is shorter than previous ones.
A year or a bit more ago, My US living fried RAM Khatri sent an email. When I opened it, it asked to fill email address, so I did. It was an interesting content that contained translation stories, book reviews, video clips, interviews and so on, his personal Substack. I enjoyed them by reading but I didn't think about to start my own Substack. Month later, I signed up it and started Folks an Stories. At the beginning, I posted a folk stories which told by the seniors of my village and society, which hadn't been documented. I rcalled them and transcribed and published. Substack AI tool bleshed me to creat images regarding my stories. I couldn't achieve rapid flourishing response but how I could was enough to make me optimistic. I believe in ‘slow and steady’.
Substack, as I think is a social media platform but more than contemporary social media because it is by writers, to writers and for writers.Every Substackers are writers and all are readers. It's central theme is to ensure mutual cooperation and collective efforts among content creators worldwide. It is an amazing window through which everybody can dive into vast ocean of knowledge and information and explore one's own world.
After publishing some episodes of my story series. I found some paid subscription pledge, first was Niiky Finlay, US based economic writer but I couldn't accept them because from where I was writing had not been listed in paid subscription stripe. Still not, hope they will do soon. Pledges are still pending.
Thank you for reading.
